TwinCAT 3.1: New features for eXtended Automation

Beckhoff will present the release of the new TwinCAT version 3.1 at Hannover Messe: a major new feature is the support for 64-bit operating systems which can now also be used for the runtime. Further enhancements: PLC runtime for Windows CE, improved integration of source-code control databases, automatic code generation with the automation interface and integration into the new Visual Studio® 2012. Highly flexible: the new multi-touch generation

The multi-touch panel series from Beckhoff offers maximum flexibility: various display sizes from 7- to 24-inch (16:9, 5:4, 4:3), landscape or portrait orientation, built-in or mounting-arm panel. The new built-in CP22xx Panel PC series will be available in various display sizes starting from 12 inches. It is equipped with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i processors and provides optimum support for the latest TwinCAT version. Fieldbus modules for new Embedded PC generation

Beckhoff offers Embedded PCs with ARM CPU (CX9020) or x86 CPU (CX2000) for optimum adaptation to the respective control task. The CX2000 series offers high flexibility on the DIN rail with multi-core processors and modular PC and I/O interfaces. Also new are fieldbus modules which can be connected to the CX2000 in the field via PCI Express: PROFIBUS and CANopen interfaces, each as master or slave. CX2000

The all-in-one solution: TwinSAFE Controller in a compact housing

The new EK1960 TwinSAFE Controller integrates a complete safety controller including I/O level in a compact design. It combines EtherCAT Coupler, TwinSAFE PLC, 20 digital inputs and 10 digital outputs. Primarily designed for safety applications of a small to medium scope, the EK1960 can be used either as an autonomous controller or as a decentralised controller. Servo terminal with One Cable Technology

The servo terminals from the EL7201 series for the EtherCAT I/O system integrate a complete servo drive in a standard terminal housing. The new EL7201-0010 variant supports the One Cable Technology (OCT) of the AM81xx servomotor series instead of the traditional resolver interface, enabling absolute positions to be measured and stored without batteries. The OCT servo terminal supports direct connection of the new servomotors AM8121 (0.5 Nm), AM8122 (0.8 Nm) and AM8131 (1.13 Nm). One Cable Technology

New servomotors increase the range of applications

Beckhoff also offers further drive technology innovations: to meet the demand for higher-performance motors, the AM8000 servomotor series is now also available with forced cooling which increases the performance of the motors by up to 50 %. The new AM8500 series with an increased moment of inertia is suitable for applications with the highest requirements for synchronism and an optimum adaptation of the motor inertia to high loads.
