Armstrong Flooring, Cabinets in Epcot Vision House

LANCASTER, PA - VISION House®, which will be located in INNOVENTIONS at Epcot, is the first “green” house built at a Disney theme park. The new exhibit is part of Green Builder® Media’s VISION House series, a group of demonstration homes built around the country to showcase green building and sustainable living ideas.

The actual exhibit in Orlando will look like a modern home of the 21st century, designed with green products and intelligent systems that demonstrate how homeowners can reduce their carbon footprint. These systems include high efficiency heating and cooling systems, whole-home automation systems, and products like hardwood floors and cabinets by Armstrong. Wood is a renewable resource that offers environmental benefits throughout its growth cycle.

We’ve selected the hand-scraped look of Armstrong’s Century Farm Chateau Brown hardwood floors for the VISION House exhibit floor and Armstrong’s Town & Country maple wood cabinets for the kitchen.

For more info and color renderings of VISION House, which is being built right now, take a look at this slide presentation, created by Mark Johnson FAIA, National Director, Social and Virtual Media, Green Builder Media.

And if you’re planning a trip to Disney World between May 2012 – April 2015, be sure to stop by VISION House in INNOVENTIONS at Epcot to see how you can make your home more “green”!
