Andersen Windows, Inc. today announced the launch of new, enhanced features on the company’s website for The Home Depot®, andersenhomedepot.com. The new visualization capabilities make it easier for customers to explore and select Andersen windows sold through The Home Depot.

“The website was first launched in May, 2013 and now gives The Home Depot customers the ability to easily design a window using all the exterior options offered across multiple product lines,” said Steve Mog, vice president and general manager of The Home Depot Group for Andersen. In addition, customers can easily order Andersen color and finish samples, allowing homeowners to see and feel the quality finish and materials of the products they’re interested in. Samples are shipped directly to the consumer’s home, giving them the ability to color coordinate with their house before purchasing. These enhancements, Mog explained, put the customer in the best position to find the right windows for their project.

The new Design Your Window tool allows consumers to design and view windows using a variety of exterior colors, trim styles and grille patterns. Customers can add house siding in a variety of colors and styles — including lap siding, shakes and stucco — to see what the window combination could look like in their home. Once complete, the design can be saved, printed, emailed and shared with others via social media sites with the simple click of a button.

“Consumers have said they want to see and feel our products before they buy and these tools enable them to do just that,” Mog said. “Giving consumers the ability to virtually design their windows and order samples online simplifies the process and makes shopping for and selecting our window and door products easier and more rewarding.”
