A Specifier's Guide to Door Face Veneers Webinar

Washington D.C. - The Window & Door Manufacturers Association's (WDMA) has introduced the third in our series of education webinars for the architectural wood door industry. "A Specifier's Guide to Door Face Veneers" is designed as a primer on veneer matching methods, cutting options and color selection, and the aesthetic and sustainability effects of those choices.

The course describes the color and grain variation found within wood species veneer and explains how cutting variations can change the appearance of a wood veneer. It describes how individual veneer pieces are matched within a door face and how door faces are laid up to achieve symmetrical or non-symmetrical appearance. The webinar also explains how veneer cut, match and grade specification affects the use of Certified wood and overall wood yield.

Accredited by both the Door and Hardware Institute (DHI) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for continuing education credits, this latest on-demand webinar, developed by WDMA's National Architectural Door Council, is free to the public. The total estimated time for the webinar is 20 minutes.

The WDMA Webinar Series is designed to educate the architect and specifier community about specifying architectural wood flush doors, and on using the latest performance-driven standards -- WDMA I.S. 1A-11, Industry Standard for Architectural Wood Flush Doors, and WDMA I.S. 6A-11, Industry Standard for Architectural Stile and Rail Doors.
