84 Lumber Names COO; Wallach to Strategic Initiatives

EIGHTY FOUR, PA – Frank Cicero, a 27 year employee of 84 Lumber Company has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of the nation’s largest privately held building materials and services company.

In addition the company has appointed long-time CFO Dan Wallach to Executive Vice President/Strategic Initiatives and Paul Lentz has been promoted from Controller to CFO. Cicero who started with 84 Lumber as a manager trainee will retain his responsibility for store operations and assume additional corporate responsibilities.

As EVP Strategic Initiatives, Wallach a 20 year veteran of 84 Lumber will oversee a newly created department which will be responsible for analyzing and bringing to market new products and service initiatives. Lentz with 24 years of experience in the company’s accounting department will seamlessly move into the CFO position.

“Over the past four years especially Frank and Dan have provided invaluable knowledge and leadership which has been instrumental in 84 Lumber being able to make the necessary decisions and strategic moves to come through the most significant housing downturn in history,” said 84 Lumber President and Owner Maggie Hardy Magerko.

Hardy Magerko noted that Lentz has an intimate knowledge of 84 Lumber and its’ accounting, auditing, financial, sales and inventory systems making him the ideal person for the CFO position.
