LAS VEGAS - Delta Power Equipment says it will award Unisaws to a student winner and his school, in the WorldSkills Cabinetmaking Qualifying Trial, to be held at AWFS Fair 2011, the national woodworking show running July 20-23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

WorldSkills is a global competition for students in industrial and trade education in a variety of competitive categories, including cabinetry, joinery, carpentry and drafting. U.S. competitors are selected for the global WorldSkills competition through authorized testing trials managed by the SkillsUSA organization. Last month SkillsUSA helds its national compeition, for which Delta Power Equipment provided 18 Unisaws for woodworking compeitions.

At the WorldSkills Cabinetmaking Qualifying Trial at the AWFS Fair in July, there will be two competitors who are prior SkillsUSA first place winners, who will be racing each other and the clock to provide the best quality project.

The winner in July will be awarded a Unisaw by Delta, while Delta will also donate a Unisaw to the winner’s school. The ceremony will be held at the Las Vegas Conventions Center during AWFS Fair on Saturday, July 23, 2011.
