BURLINGTON, ON - Machinery manufacturer AXYZ International marked the sale of its 5,000th CNC router during a recent open house held at the company's 48,000-square-foot headquarters in Burlington, ON.

AXYZ's routing and engraving machines are used in a variety of markets including: wood products manufacturing, furniture production, signage, boat building, plastics and metal fabrication, boat building and HVAC. The company's 5,000th CNC router sold, a 5022 Series PanelBuilder, was purchased by McGee Corporation of Matthews, NC, a provider of pre-engineered canopy and architectural wall cladding systems.

Overall, the company said it has more than 10,500 machine installations worldwide. “AXYZ has come a long way since those early days when the first couple of machines were built by hand," said Greg Jenkins, vice-president of sales. "Having responded to market challenges with the recent recession a few years ago, the company has been on an upswing and is now heading towards growth mode.

"We’re really proud of our company,” he added. “We have really made a commitment to having everything manufactured in Canada and we have great employees, which makes my job that much easier.”
