PARKERSBURG, W. VA. — Woodcraft Supply is working with the Camp American Legion and service-disabled veterans to provide rest, relaxation and rehabilitation through woodworking.

Located on Big Carr Lake in Northern Wisconsin, Camp American Legion provides free fishing, hiking and learning opportunities during week-long camp stays between Memorial Day and Labor Day for Wisconsin veterans, military personnel, and their families.

Tom Maclean, a disabled veteran who volunteers and teaches woodcarving, worked with Woodcraft to help build a woodcarving program for the camp. Woodcraft has since donated tools including a Rikon bandsaw, drill press and sander, as well as carving tools and a Tormek sharpener.

“The mission of the camp is to provide rest and recuperation for Wisconsin veterans.” says Kevin Moshea, director of rehabilitative services for The American Legion in Wisconsin.

Vince Grlovich, vice president for sales and marketing for Woodcraft, says the company is happy to support a program that allows Wisconsin veterans, military personnel, and their families to take a needed break in an outdoor setting.
