CAMBRIDGE, ON - Royce//Ayr, a manufacturer of cutting tools for woodworking, metal working and other industries, plans to build a 20,000-square-foot addition to its manufacturing facility in Cambridge.

Royce//Ayr Adds Space & Technology to Woodworking Tooling PlantPlans also call for adding new cutting tool production machinery that will help the company expand production capacity and expand into new markets. Royce//Ayr's addition will house:

  • New Walter CNC grinding equipment for solid carbide spiral production;

  • Further expansion of PCD manufacturing machinery for composite tooling market;

  • Advanced plant layout including a unique work cell concept to improve production efficiencies; and

  • R&D facility for advanced material testing

Royce//Ayr's extensive cutting tool line for woodworking, includes carbide-tipped and PCD saw blades and cutterheads; standard and custom solid carbide inserts; solid carbide, high-speed steel, carbide-tipped and PCD router and drill bits; tool holders, hydro sleeves and accessories.
