More than 200,000 seats of Mastercam’s CNC Software have been installed by machine operators in the global manufacturing industry, setting CNC Software at the top of the list of widely used CAM software products for its 20th consecutive year. Analysis of the CAM software seats was performed by CIMdata, Inc.
Competitors include NX Cam, with approximately 100,000 installed seats, as well as Edgecam and Creo Elements Pro (Pro/E), each with between 50,000 – 100,000 seats.
CNC Software President, Mark Summers says the data reflects feedback and suggestions from programmers and machine operators, as well as a commitment to the strengthening the manufacturing industry.
