Blum Expands Cabinet Hardware Production‏  STANLEY, NC– Cabinetry, casework and and furnishing hardware maker Blum says it has been expanding its manufacturing and production capacitt at its Stanley, NC facility over the past six months, as it prepares to launch its next generation Tandem plus Blumotion drawer runners.

The new hardware line becomes available to its distribution partners on January 7, 2013.

In preparation for the release. Blum said it put in place new tools for injection molded nylon components, new tooling for steel stamping presses, and what it describes as a "major upgrade" to the Tandem plus Blumotion assembly line - these efforts comprising the largest investments. Blum is currently assembling both existing hardware lines and the new Tandem plus Blumotion runners, "to ensure an uninterrupted transition for our customers," the company said in a statement.

The next Tandem plus Blumotion series features an added side adjustable locking device as an option for inset drawer applications, screw holes in the bottom of the runner for bottom mount applications, and elongated holes to ease depth adjustment, among other features.
