ATLANTA - Stiles machinery has reserved more than 20,000 square feet of show space at this year's International Woodworking Fair. The company's two booths will feature several new developments in wood processing technology, including five selections which were chosen as finalists in the 2014 Challengers Award competition.
Throughout the show, Stiles will showcase its new developments in finishing, edge banding, wood scanning and machine operation at booths #5053 and #5135.
Through a recent partnership with HOMAG, Stiles will showcase the airTec compressed hot-air edge banding system and the powerTouch, a touch-screen machine for CNC machining centers, edgebanders and panel saws.
Visitors will also be able to see demonstrations of the dustEx panel saw, which uses air jets along the cutting line to remove dust and chips, the Kentwood Random Scraping Machine and the Microtec Goldeneye Scanner, which determines the quality and strength of lumber with color, laser and x-ray technologies.
More than 850 exhibitors have registered to showcase innovations in woodworking tools, machinery and software. IWF 2014 will run from August 20 - 23 with educational opportunities and demonstrations throughout the duration of the conference. Winners of the Challengers Award competition will be announced the morning the show opens, on August 20.
