Soy Resin Particleboard Debuts at IWF

Soy Resin Particleboard Debuts at IWFATLANTA- A new soy-resin particleboard has been introduced by Uniboard. The panel producer debuted its Nu Green SOYA particleboard during the International Woodworking Fair, held Aug. 20-23 in Atlanta.

NU Green SOYA uses a patented water-based soy resin formulated with soy flour and a proprietary cross-linking resin, providing a durable and water-resistant thermoset adhesive, according to Uniboard.

The composite panel is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as well as Eco-Certified Composite (ECC) by the Composite Panel Association (CPA), meeting all five of the criteria including compliance with CARB phase 2. Made from 100% recycled and recovered wood fiber (pre-consumer), Nu Green SOYA has no added formaldehyde (NAF) and can contribute toward LEED points, Uniboard says.

Nu Green SOYA is offered in all Uniboard's melamine color selections, and is available through the company's network of distributors. The panels can be used in a variety of applications, including cabinetry, furniture and closets.
