REHAU T-edge Barbed Edgeband Helps Custom Shops Work Lean

LEESBURG, Va. – The new REHAU T-edge™ is a 3 mm semi-rigid barbed edgeband that facilitates a curved edge, even around corners. Able to be hammered into virtually any work surface without the use of sophisticated machinery, REHAU T-edge offers custom woodworking shops the ability to stay competitive while saving on costly overhead.

“Although T-molding is attractive to smaller shops because of the relatively minimal investment required to apply it, until now it has only been widely available in a limited number of solid colors,” said Dr. Thomas Troeger, North American business team manager for REHAU’s furniture business unit. “REHAU T-edge opens the door to nearly unlimited design possibilities, particularly for the small shop owner, as it is offered in more than 200 colors and patterns that match the product range of today’s major laminate board manufacturers.”

REHAU T-edge is currently available in 54 solid colors and 165 wood grains and patterns, with additional options to be added over time (visit www.na.rehau.com/colorsearch for the latest updates). The complete line can also be ordered in quantities as small as a single coil through the off-the-shelf REHAU Express Collection program.

“This means that a custom shop will not have to stock inventory, and can remain highly competitive by purchasing T-molding in the colors and patterns demanded by the customer on a job-by-job basis,” Troeger said.
