Global Wood Machinery Standards To Be Reviewed at IWF 2014ATLANTA - Woodworking machinery manufacturers groups WMIA and WMMA will host an information meeting on the newly formed ANSI/ISO Technical Advisory Group at the 2014 International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta.

Also presented will be an update on ANSI US Standards Committee, plus ISO and the World standards development for woodworking machinery.

Global Wood Machinery Standards To Be Reviewed at IWF 2014The presentation will take place during the IWF Technology Theatre on Wednesday, August 20th between 3:00 and 4:30 pm.

This event, which will be open to the public, will feature speakers from the ISO and EUMABOIS associations in Europe and WMIA and WMMA, who will highlight the recent creation of the ANSI US/TAG (Technical Advisory Group) for the purpose of bringing the latest ISO woodworking machinery standards to the U.S. for review, revision and harmonization with existing American machinery standards.

Media and all interested parties including technical engineers, safety managers and CEO’s of major woodworking manufacturers, as well as members of educational institutions with woodworking curricula are encouraged to attend.The group hopes  to provide a better understanding of standards development and the importance of unified standards for the entire industry.
