Zepsa Architectural Woodwork said it has completed its installation of interior jointery for the launch of the iconic, monumental private yacht, M/Y Cakewalk.
The yacht, said to be the largest built in the United States since the 1930s, features 39 rooms for which Zepsa engineered, fabricated, finished, and installed highly specified wood paneling, cabinetry, architectural mouldings, passage doors, and a grand central staircase.
"We modified the structure of our shop, adding a 60-foot tower to allow for the complete pre-assembly of this three-story, free-standing circular staircase," said Zepsa's Steve Ballenger. The staircase and Grand Lobby is replete with architectural detail, hand carvings, radius wall paneling, and ornamental iron railings.
