WoodLINKS USA announces new board members

TUSCOLA, IL — WoodLINKS USA has named two new board members who have taken office in July 2009 — Mitch Kohanek of Dakota County Technical College and Thomas Tuck of SCM Group USA Inc.

According to a release from WoodLINKS, Kohanek has been an instructor for the Wood Finishing Technology Program at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN since 1978. The program is the only certified finishing program in the US, and has been featured in Fine Woodworking and Better Homes and Gardens Wood magazines.

Tuck graduated from the Keith Yow’s Cedar Ridge High School WoodLINKS USA program and received his WoodLINKS Certification. He then attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where he graduated with honors and received a B.S. in Furniture Studies and a B.S. in Business Management. He currently works for SCM Group USA, a leader of industrial woodworking equipment, in Duluth, GA, as marketing coordinator and also works as a regional sales manager in parts of the south east.
