PORT ORFORD, OR — WoodLINKS USA participant Pacific High School was vandalized Oct. 7, by a person or persons unknown. According to the Curry County Sheriffs Office, the crimes include: burglary, arson, criminal mischief and theft of school property.
The perpetrators tried to “torch” the woodworking shop, and the woodworking equipment and student projects were destroyed, according to teacher Charles Klea. Laptops also were stolen from the school’s computer lab, at an estimated value of $20,000 to $30,000.
A reward is being offered by the school district for information.
