WoodLINKS Honors Industry Educators at Wednesday AWFS Reception

WoodLINKS-USA announced recipients of its three annual recognition awards at a reception held Wednesday night during the AWFS Vegas Fair in Las Vegas.

Joe Davis of Dale Jackson Career Center, Lewisville, TX, was named Educator of the Year; Brooke Wisdom of Modern Woodworking, Tuscaloosa, AL, was named Industry Partner of the Year, and Bob Johnson of Whidbey was recognized as an industry supporter of Coupeville High School in Coupeville, WA, and received the Larry Hilchie Award.

Hilchie was a founding member of WoodLINKS-USA, served as the first WoodLINKS-USA President and was instrumental in its early success. The award was established in 2004 in recognition of his efforts. Sadly, Hilchie passed away suddenly last year.
