Wood Pellet Operation to Move into Scuttled G-P Mill

GAYLORD, MI – A former particleboard plant operated by Georgia-Pacific Corp. is being sold to a company that plans to manufacture wood pellets for export to Europe. Chris Delusky, president and CEO of Upper40, told the Gaylord Herald Times that he hopes to complete the purchase of the idled plant by mid December and commence operations by the end of the year. The wood pellet operation would initially require 40 employees, a number that could swell to 100.
