OTTAWA, ON – The Wood Manufacturing Council is accepting nominations for its first-ever HR Awards, honoring excellence in human resources for the wood manufacturing industry.

The objective of the awards program is to recognize industry champions who are addressing the challenges of HR by proactively creating innovative and effective solutions that ensure the viability of their businesses and the industry as a whole. The awards are open to individuals employed in the furniture, cabinet, window and door, millwork and manufactured building components industries.

Nominations close Sept. 14.. A selection committee composed of industry, association and education members will review the nominations and choose the winners in each category. The nominees will be honored and winners will be announced at a special awards night dinner, Friday, Oct. 26, during the Woodworking Machinery and Supply Expo in Toronto.
