MILAN, ITALY
- Inventive wood furniture styling will be among the standouts as the 50th Milan i Saloni, including the Salone del Mobile, opens April 12 for its six-day run.

Sprawling through 20 pavilions and extending over 1.7 million square feet, this show combines the U.S. equivalent of NeoCon, Las Vegas Market, and the High Point Market, along with exhibitions of lighting and accessories.

The national flair for style and design has long driven Italy's furniture market, perhaps even to a greater degree than in fashion or kitchenware. For that reason competing designers from other nations like to show at I Saloni to be seen.
