Wood Coatings One of Several Technical Sessions at RadTech UV & EB 2008

CHEVY CHASE, MD – The latest developments in ultra violet and electron beam curing finishes for wood will be presented at Radtech UV & EB 2008, May 4-7, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Wood Coatings is one of more than a dozen UV/EB-related education sessions that are planned. Other sessions include Green Chemistry, Renewable Resources, Nanomaterials, Electronics Chemistry and High Performance Coatings. Technologists from around the world will present more than 200 papers detailing the science and application of UV and EB.

Confirmed topics for the Wood Coatings technical session include “Accelerated Weathering of Wood Coatings by QUV-A with Direct Water Spray,” “Influence of Synthetic Silica on the Matting of 100% UV Coatings,” “Novel Approach to UV Curing for PVC and Wood Applications,” and “Novel Non-Halogenated UV/EB Curable Flame Retardant Coatings Using Unique Water Compatible Oligomer.”

The four-day event also includes an expo with more than 100 exhibitors of equipment, raw materials and chemistry.
