Wisconsin Firms Provide Flooring To China

MADISON, WI — According to BusinessWeek.com, two Wisconsin flooring firms have completed large-scale projects in China recently. Aacer Flooring of Peshtigo, WI, made and installed the 29,000-square-foot wood floor for the National Training Center in Beijing, the training location for the national team. Aecer is also installing the flooring for the Olympic badminton courts, while Robbins Sport Surfaces of White Lake, WI, provided the maple flooring for the Capital Gym in Beijing and the 26,000-square-foot basketball court for the Nanjing Sports Centre. Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle recently visited both facilities as part of a trade mission to the Far East. China was Wisconsin’s third largest export market in 2006, buying $870 million worth of products from the state. Read more.
