TEMPLE, TX – Wilsonart, a manufacturer of decorative surfacing products, has promoted Rajesh Ramamurthy to a newly created position, director of Wilsonart sustainability, according to MarketWatch. The company has identified sustainability as a key area of focus to Wilsonart and its customers.
Ramamurthy started with Wilsonart in 1999 as a senior research scientist and group technology leader, leading to his current responsibility as technology manager within the solid surfacing business unit.
“Wilsonart's goal is to create a collaborative and mutually beneficial process for Wilsonart. Raj brings excellent technical and business credentials to this responsibility,” said Bill DiGaetano, president. “How we define corporate sustainability initiatives and how we integrate them into our systems, processes, products, and our way of thinking will be tasks for everyone at Wilsonart. Raj's job will be to create specific focus on and support for sustainability issues at all levels.”
