West Fraser Timber selling Skeena Sawmills

VANCOUVER, BC - West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. (TSX:WFT) says it entered into an agreement to sell its Skeena Sawmills Division to ROC Holdings Ltd. The Skeena Sawmills Division includes the Terrace sawmill and related Crown timber tenures.

The Terrace sawmill has a single shift capacity of 90 million board feet per year. The sale is expected to be completed in 2011.

Separately West Fraser Timber said Gerry Miller, CFO, will retire at the end of July 2011.

West Fraser is an integrated wood products company producing lumber, wood chips, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp and newsprint. The Company has operations in western Canada and the southern United States.
