VANCOUVER, BC -- West Fraser, a manufacturer of MDF and other board products, announced the appointment of Ted Seraphim as the company's executive vice-president and COO, effective July 1.
Seraphim, a chartered accountant, joined West Fraser in 1997 and is currently vice-president, Pulp & Paper. He has more than 25 years of experience in the forest products industry, including operations, marketing and sales.
In his new role Seraphim will be primarily responsible for the implementation of West Fraser's operating strategies and plans including the proper allocation of human and other resources.
