PONOTOC, MS -- Washington Furniture Sales has acquired a 370,000-square-foot plant that formerly housed upholstery manufacturing operations for Lane/Action.
According to Furniture Today, Washington Furniture Sales will move its production of sofas, loveseats and other upholstered furniture products there. It's current 150,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Ponotoc reportedly will be used as a warehouse.
Lane/Action, a division of Furniture Brands International of St. Louis, made recliners at the plant before closing it in 2008.
Three months earlier, Washington Furniture Sales purchased a 60,000-square-foot plant from Hickory Spring that is located across the street from the Lane facility.
