Vecoplan Celebrates 40th Anniversary
HIGH POINT, NC – Vecoplan celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2009. Vecoplan was founded in 1969 in Bad Marienberg, Germany as a manufacturer of high-quality wood chippers. In the early 1980s, Vecoplan’s focus turned to the design and manufacture of machinery for recycling a comprehensive range of materials.

This led to the company’s invention of the first single-shaft rotary shredder, which revolutionized the company and the size reduction industry. In 1989, a European patent was awarded to Vecoplan for the single-shaft shredder and its unique “U-rotor,” which quickly became the most popular design on single-shaft shredders and continues to be the most advanced cutting geometry for the universal size reduction of a wide spectrum of waste materials, the company said.

In 1994, Vecoplan earned its ISO 9001 certification. This certification ensures that Vecoplan meets the highest standards for quality systems, innovative product development, design engineering and complete quality control throughout the manufacturing process. In 2000, Vecoplan combined forces with ReTech Industries to form Vecoplan, LLC.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the loyal customers that have made this milestone possible,” states Len Beusse, COO of Vecoplan LLC. “It’s our goal to continue to earn their patronage over the next 40 years.”
