ELKIN, VA – Vaughan Bassett Furniture announced it will close its manufacturing plant in Elkin, putting approximately 400 people off of work by the end of January.
The company said the closing of the 700,000-square-foot plant might only be temporary and left open the possibility that it could reopen when the economy improves.
