WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Green Building Council has signed a memorandum of understanding with the newly created Clinton Climate Initiative to engage the largest cities in the world through the Large Cities Climate Leadership Group. The goal is to reduce carbon emissions by embracing energy efficiency and green building strategies.
As a partner of CCI's efforts, the USGBC will provide technical assistance and expertise in green building practices, engaging the World Green Building Council and mobilizing green building experts from around the globe with the goal of increasing their inventory of green buildings. Other CCI partners include the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the Alliance to Save Energy and the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives.
