NEW YORK – The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Assn. said United States furniture orders rose 7%, to $950 million, in October compared to October 2005, according to Reuters. October’s growth is consistent with a trend of 7% growth that started in April and is contrasted with double-digit growth that occurred in the previous six months from November 2005 to March 2006, according to BIFMA data.
