U.S. furniture industry suppliers seek exports at interzum
COLOGNE – Taking advantage of the weak dollar, pent up demand and a strong German economy, more than 40 U.S. and Canadian furniture manufacture supply companies will pursue export opportunities in Europe during interzum, an international trade show for suppliers to the furniture production and interiors industry.

The biennial Interzum will take place in Cologne and be followed by Ligna, the world’s largest event for the woodworking and wood processing industry running May 30 – June 3, 2011 in Hannover, Germany. Some 50,000 buyers from 130 countries are expected.

interzum will be held in 10 Halls of the Koelnmesse fairground. interzum attendees are furniture manufacturers, architects, interior designers and  product developers. The last interzum attracted 47,000 visitors from 130 countries who met with 1,300 suppliers.
