LAVAL, QC — Uniboard has been approved as a manufacturer of Ultra Low Emission Formaldehyde (ULEF) particleboard by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), according to PRNewswire. Uniboard’s use of ULEF resin in the production of NU Green has earned the company an exemption from the requirements of section 93120.3(b) of the Airborne Toxic Control Measure to reduce Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products.
“The approval of our application to use the ULEF designation solidifies NU Green’s position as the greenest solution available on the market today,” says Lise Plante, product manager, panel business unit. “Not only is NU Green manufactured suing 100% pre-consumer recycled wood fibre, but now, through this exemption, is also recognized as complying with CARB Phase 2, the world’s most stringent emission standards.”
