LAVAL, QC — Uniboard, a North American manufacturer of engineered wood products, on Feb. 18 announced the completion of its new medium and high-density fiberboard (MDF/HDF) plant in Moncure, NC, according to Daily Commercial News and Construction Record.
The $160M plant produced its first panel on Feb. 17, one year after construction of the facility started. With an annual production capacity of 225 million sq. ft (3/4 in. basis) per year, the plant is the largest MDF/HDF facility in North America and is the company's third manufacturing facility in the United States.
