LAVAL, QUE – Uniboard announced that its MDF plant in Mont-Laurier, QUE, has been certified with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council.
“Uniboard is thus again making a significant contribution to environmentally compatible, socially acceptable and economically sustainable use of the world’s forests,” the company stated in a press release. “With the certification of the Mont-Laurier site, Uniboard is consistently pursuing the aims of sustainability.”
Several other Uniboard plants have received FSC certification including Canadian plants in Val-d’Or and Sayabec, its facility in Fostoria, OH, and its particleboard plant in Moncure, NC.
