Clean air technologies provider TurboSonic Technologies Inc. has received a $3.6 million (US) contract for catalytic gas treatment (CGT) technology for volatile organic compound emissions reduction from particleboard production at Uniboard's Moncure NC, plant.
The contract, scheduled for completion this year, is for the design, supply and installation of CGT technology to control formaldehyde and methanol emissions and provide compliance with U.S. EPA regulations for the plywood and composite panel industry.
According to Edward Spink, TurboSonic CEO, this will be the sixth CGT installation for Uniboard and the third at the Moncure facility.
