SCHAUMBURG, IL – Experienced and fledgling closet system installers can hone their skills at two free workshops scheduled for Friday, March 23, at the 3rd annual Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo™ in Schaumburg, IL.
Each of the one-hour clinics that anchor "Installer Day" at the Closets Expo is being led by Ken Olsen, senior installer, and Greg Cetera, sales designer, of Closet Works Inc. of Elmhurst, IL. The demonstrations will be staged on the show floor of the Schaumburg Convention Center.
The first session, "Basics of Installation," is slated for 11:00 a.m. to noon. It will cover:
- Van Setup & Material Loading
- Job Safety
- Protecting the Customer’s Home
- Prepping for Layout
- Cutting Baseboards
- Layout Basics
- Fastener Types
- Installation of Panels, Shelves, Drawer, Doors & Accessories
- Final Cleanup
The second session, "Tricks of the Trade," takes place from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will cover:
- Final Adjustments of Doors & Drawers
- Tabbing On Site
- Boring Panels On Site
- Cutting & Installing Crown Moulding
- Scribing Fillers
- Scribing Countertops
No special registration is required; seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and is open to all Closet Expo attendees.
