SPRINGFIELD, OR – Timber Products will acquire assets of the Panel Products Div. from The Penrod Company. Mike Clausen, Timber Products' new VP Sales, Hardwood Plywood and International Division, will merge the Penrod Division into the Timber Products International Division.

Timber Products owns eight wood manufacturing facilities across the U.S., an international division, and 112,000 acres of forestland in Northern California managed under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) program. The company also operates TP Trucking, a nationwide transportation division.

The Penrod Company is one of the world’s oldest and largest suppliers of wood, metal and PVC products. Founded in 1888 as Penrod, Wood & Company, it originally produced walnut lumber and furniture veneer. Now Penrod imports and exports forest products used in the hardwood plywood and furniture industries throughout the world; imports metal products for use in commercial and residential construction in North America; distributes PVC board products for external residential and commercial applications; produces hardwood lumber and solid wood flooring; and barrel staves for the European wine industry. It also distributes fasteners and hinges.
