APPOMATTOX, VA – An undisclosed number of Thomasville Furniture employees in Appomattox have been placed on a 90-day furlough that could become a permanent layoff, according to the Associated Press/Greensboro News & Record.
The plant, which manufactures ready-to-assemble furniture, reportedly has between 250 and 499 employees. Thomasville is a division of Furniture Brands Intl of St. Louis, MO.
