- C.S. Industries has introduced a new thermal wood treatment process to the North American market. Principal Claus Staalner says the IWT-MOLDRUP-SSP (Superheated Steam under Pressure) is the most flexible and economical thermo treatment process.

Thermally treated wood, baked in specialized kilns, is protected against rot and is more dimensionally stable than ordinarily dried wood. Thermal treatment also colors the wood to a uniform brown appearance. Applications include window frames, interior flooring and siding, among other uses. The IWT thermal wood treatment process permits more manageable load sizes and faster cycle times than traditional methods, around 8-15 hours, says Staalner. 877.785.0274.
