AUSTIN, TX -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration awarded a its STAR safety award to two divisions of Temple-Inland, according to the Lufkin Daily.
Temple's particleboard and lumber operations in Diboll, TX, were recognized for meeting standards set by the voluntary program, which promotes worksite-based safety and health.
Among other things, the STAR safety program requires participating worksite locations to have a three-year incident rate below the industry average as calculated by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Four other Temple-Inland locations across the nation have also received STAR awards.
