“Technodomus” Launched at Rimini Fiera in March 2009
RIMINI, ITALY — Rimini Fiera SpA is organizing the first edition of the Technodomus exhibition of woodworking technology and building components for March 11th to 14th 2009. The new expo has already reported leading companies’ registration and participants will include SCM, Biesse and Cefla.

Rimini Fiera purchased the brand DomusLegno (held in 2006 and 2007) and the exhibition to upgrade the expo event. On show at Technodomus: machines and accessories for wood in the building industry, machines and accessories for the manufacture of doors and windows, machines and accessories for the furniture industry, electric and air-powered tools, software systems, architecture in wood, wood cladding and roofs, wooden houses, and decorations.

The woodworking machinery sector in Italy had a production (Acimall figures) of 1,866 million euros in 2007 (2.5% more than 2006), over 80% of which was for export.

The Technodomus visitor target is: door and window manufacturers, furniture builders and manufacturers, distributors, artisans, carpenters and designers.

Rimini Fiera Chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni explains, “The strategy for the launch of Technodomus was well studied and strengthened by the fact that we are located in an area with an industrial sector that is a world leader in the manufacture of woodworking machinery.”

The on-site railway station (on the Milan – Bari line) will be open during the exhibition and will put sixteen trains at exhibiting firms’ and visitors’ disposal.
