Stokke Recalls 1,000 Crib Foam Mattresses

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Stokke LLC of Kennesaw, GA, was recalling approximately 1,000 Sleepi crib foam mattresses.

According to the CPSC, the crib mattresses are not properly sized, creating a gap and posing an entrapment hazard to children. No injuries have been reported.

The oval-shaped mattresses sold with cribs nationwide and on the Internet from September 2006 through March 2007. The product was made in Italy.

Consumers are urged to stop using the mattresses and contact Stokke to receive a free replacement mattress.
