Stiles Spreads Warmth to Community During the Holidays
GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Stiles Machinery Inc. says that it was delighted to spread warmth to others in its community during the 2008 holiday season as a component of the company’s wellness program. During the past holiday season, Stiles highlighted a lesser known wellness opportunity by focusing on Social Wellness. The company recognized that spreading warmth to others in the community not only provides support to those in need but also contributes to the wellness of its employees by encouraging positive habits. Each of the company’s offices was tasked to establish its own program to spread the warmth in its local communities. The corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI decorated a “giving” tree with donated hats, mittens, scarves and gloves. Winter jackets were also collected. In total, eight full boxes were donated to Mel Trotter Ministries in early January. The Ontario, CA office donated 75 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Riverside, Calif. The Irving, TX office gave private donations to charities of its choice. The High Point, NC office sponsored a military troop and family, and the Gastonia, NC office collected mittens, food and toys.
