GRAND RAPIDS, MI â Stiles Machinery Inc., a distributor of woodworking machinery, named Robert J. Kostelnik Technical Manager for Stiles Finishing Technologies.
Kostelnik has more than 40 years of experience in the industrial wood finishing industry. After six years in the laboratory as a formulating chemist of wood coating, he moved into the field of technical service and then various sales and marketing management positions in the coating industry.
After starting his first UV line for wood finishing in California in the early â70s, Kostelnik in 1981 founded HK Research, a manufacturer of wood coatings and polyester gel coats. He added machine applications to his chemical background, when he worked for Stiles from 1997 to 2002.
Kostelnik will be based out of the companyâs High Point, NC, regional office, which also houses the finishing laboratory.
