GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Steelcase Inc. announced that more than 20 of its product lines have received Indoor Advantage certification from Scientific Certification Systems, an independent third-party certifier.
Steelcase’s wood seating line rated well in regards to low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, earning 14 certifications, while five Steelcase Systems also received certification. Additionally, the Think chair, as well as the Answer and Pathways Technology Wall system, received Indoor Advantage Gold certification.
The Indoor Advantage certification program confirms adherence to specific indoor air emission requirements and recognizes companies that excel in this environmental initiative. Certification is applicable to any non-flooring product generally used within an enclosed indoor environment, including wall coverings, systems furniture, casegoods and insulation.
