PITTSBURGH – The Hardwood Manufacturers Assn. has released TrendTracker 2008, a special report that monitors the trends affecting the U.S. hardwood lumber market. The report shows that U.S. mills shipped hardwood lumber to 39 countries at a value of $1.4 billion, down 12% from the previous year. However, hardwood log exports rose by more than 30% in valued in 2007.
