KERNER, LA – The Southern Pine Council (SPC) recently presented its 2008 Long-Sullivan Award to Chuck Ferguson, president of Meridian Co., a design/build general contractor and developer, located in Beaufort, SC.
“I’m honored to receive this award,” Ferguson said. “I depend on the performance and beauty of Southern Pine materials, produced right here in South Carolina, to enhance our projects whenever possible.”
Each year, a committee of Southern Pine Council members selects a building or design professional who has demonstrated outstanding use of Southern Pine products to be honored with the Long-Sullivan Award. The award is named for two early 20 century marketing pioneers of the Southern Pine lumber industry – Robert A. Long and W.H. Sullivan.
