Six lines, each part of the Kimball Office/Interstuhl partnership, recently received Indoor Advantage Gold Certification for their indoor air quality contribution from Scientific Certification Systems.
The certification was granted for the Axos, Xantos, Hero, Just for You, Silver and Mitos seating lines.
âKimball Office strives to provide clients with safe, sustainable products. Now we can officially include the Interstuhl lines as part of our green portfolio,â said Jeff Fenwick, vice president and general manager of Kimball Office.
The SCS Indoor Advantage program applies to products used within enclosed, indoor environmental â specifically within a commercial or classroom setting. To achieve gold level certification, each product met IAQ requirements as defined by the U.S. Green Building Council rating system and California Section 01250 IAQ requirements. Additionally, the seating lines claimed two furniture emission points in the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturerâs Assn. e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard.
